Level 1

Letters and first words

All 22 letters and the 5 final forms ך ם ן ף ץ: hear the sound, trace the real print shape, find it in words. First words with pictures: home, garden, zoo, party, sky, farm, me and my world.

Level 2

Vowels and reading words

The 5 vowels (kamatz, segol, chirik, cholam, shuruk), syllables like בָּ בֶּ בִּ בּוֹ בּוּ, blending sounds, and reading whole words on their own.

VowelsI can read!
Level 3

Sentences and stories

Reading sentences, filling a gap, building a sentence right to left, reading aloud, and short stories with questions.

Questions parents ask

What ages is it for?

Children from about 3 to 10. Little ones start with sounds and pictures; older children move on to reading.

My child doesn't speak Hebrew. Is that OK?

Yes. When you set up, choose “brand new to Hebrew” and everything is explained with pictures and English. Children who speak Hebrew at home but can't read yet start the same way, and children who know the letters start at level 2.

How do we get access?

Learn Hebrew is invitation only. Sign in with Google, tell us your name, group and how many children will learn, and we approve families ourselves. Got a coupon? Use it when you sign up and start right away.

How much does it cost?

$6 per child per month. When we approve your family we'll tell you how to pay. Families with a coupon start for free.

Do children need their own account?

No. One parent signs in with Google; you add each child by first name. Children never sign in or type an email.

Is my child's voice recorded?

Never. In “say it” exercises, speech is recognised by the browser and not kept. There's also a “can't talk now” button.

Which devices does it work on?

Phones, tablets and laptops, in any modern browser. Add it to the home screen and it works like an app, even offline.
